Virtualization through virtual box and VMware

Virtual box and VMware are the open source software which provide virtualization.These virtualization softwares are free to install . Virtual box is available as open source software under the terms of GNU General Public license (GPL) version 2.


Virtual box runs on windows,Linux,Macintosh,Solaris hosts and large number of guest operating system.VMware desktop software runs on Microsoft windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, while VMware enterprise software hypervisors for servers.


Basically with the help of virtual box and VMware ,we can install another computer in our computer.Both this software  help the user to install  multiple operating system in a single computer.There is a small window open in our computer and at the same time we can see the different operating system run in our computer.
                                It can support window servers also.We can install window server 2000,2003,2006,2008 etc. In the same way we can install Linux and red hat operating system in it.
